Mega Man X Legacy Collection
The Mega Man X Legacy Collection (MMXLC) is a pair of Compilation Rereleases of most of the Mega Man X games. It was released by Capcom in 2018 as part of a celebration of 30 years of Mega Man.

Aside from releasing old content, the collection adds a new game type, the "X Challenge" mode. This adds a Boss Rush, where the player must face two bosses at the same time.
The collection also contains the Original Video Animation The Day of Σ. Notable omissions from the collection include Mega Man Xtreme, Mega Man Xtreme 2, and Mega Man X Command Mission. Mega Man X DiVE was released following this compilation, and is thus not included.
It has a webpage on the Capcom website here and a page on Steam here. Aside from the Microsoft Windows release on Steam, the game was also launched on Xbox One (Compatible with Xbox Series X and Series S), PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch.
- Arm Cannon: Mega Man X has one in "X Challenge".
- Bonus Material: A product gallery, music player, trailer collection, and image gallery is included in the "Museum" menu.
- Boss Rush: Done in the "X Challenge" mode.
- Compilation Rerelease: For the Mega Man X series.
- Concept Art Gallery: One is included for each game, as well as for the collection itself.
- Easy Mode Mockery: Accessing an easy mode requires that you enable "Rookie Hunter Mode".
- Excuse Plot: When starting the "X Challenge", a few sentences appear that state that somehow the enemies Mega Man X has dealt with before have come back to cause chaos, and it's up to Mega Man X to stop them again. Some Flavor Text before a fight does offer some context regarding that specific fight.
- Flavor Text: Some flavor text appears before a fight in "X Challenge", adding a little bit of story context.
- Laser Blade: Mega Man X has one in "X Challenge" in addition to his usual upgraded gear.
- Life Meter: Present for both Mega Man X and the opposing bosses in "X Challenge".
- Multi-Platform: Released across a number of consoles, as well as for Microsoft Windows.
- One Game for the Price of Two: The compilation is split across two titles. The previous compilation, Mega Man X Collection was a single release.
- On Steam the soundtracks are sold separately as Downloadable Content.
- Product Placement: Various pieces of Mega Man X merchandise and toys can be viewed in the Product gallery menu. While much of it was quite old by the time of release, some items were released shortly before the compilation.
- Red Eyes, Take Warning: The Reploids have red eyes in the opening to "X Challenge".
- Sound Test: A music player is included.
- Spoiled by the Format: The game warns of this directly when starting the "X Challenge" mode, stating that playing it may reveal spoilers.
- Timed Mission: The fights in "X Challenge" are on a timer.
