  1. The SRD only gives a means to determine weights of weapons for Large and Small versions based on the Medium weapons. Any other supplied values are the author's best determination.
  2. Any sizes lower than Small or greater than Large are too rare to find and must be crafted.

Description

You fire a rifle by priming the hammer and pulling the trigger. You can cock or decock a rifle as a free action. Loading a rifle is a full-round action that provokes attacks of opportunity.

Normally, operating a rifle requires two hands; However, you can shoot, but not load, a rifle with one hand at a –4 penalty on attack rolls. You can shoot a rifle with each hand, but you take a penalty on attack rolls as if attacking with two weapons. This penalty is cumulative with the penalty for one-handed firing.

The maximum range for a rifle is five times as far as the range increment. Firing twice the range increment adds a -2 to hit, three times a -4, four times a -8, and five times a -16.
