Languages
Languages spoken by races and creatures dedicated to the Hyrule setting are rooted firmly in The Legend of Zelda series. If a DM would prefer to use Hyrule content in a more traditional Dungeons & Dragons setting, it's best if the languages listed below are replaced with their listed equivalent.

Most conventional Dungeons & Dragons backgrounds can fit into Hyrule. Particularly suitable options include Charlatan, Folk Hero, Hermit, Outlander, and Sailor.

Custom Background
If none of the above backgrounds appeal to you, or you simply want to customize your character's background, you can instead choose one of the following options.
Option 1
This option is for someone who wants to control all aspects of their background, creating a history for their character that perfectly matches their vision.
First, choose any two skills; you gain proficiency with these choices.
Next, choose either two tools, two languages, or one tool and one language; you gain proficiency with these choices as well.
Finally, choose the equipment package of any one background, or create your own by selecting equipment with a total value of 245 rupees.
Option 2
This option is for someone who wants to randomly create a background instead of using one of the defaults.
Firstly, roll a d20 two times. That determines your two skill proficiencies from your background, according to the chart below. Re-roll any duplicates.
