MTV Generation

The MTV Generation refers to the adolescents and young adults of the 1980s to the mid-1990s, a time when many were influenced by the television channel MTV, which launched in August 1981. The term is not to be confused with Generation X, as it also encompasses members of the late baby boomer generation as well as early Millennials.
