Indirect presidential elections were held in Trinidad and Tobago on 15 February 2013.
Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar's People's Partnership-led government nominated Anthony Carmona, a Judge of the International Criminal Court as their candidate. As Carmona was the only candidate nominated on election day, a vote did not take place and he was declared elected unopposed. He was sworn in to office on 18 March 2013 as the 5th President of Trinidad and Tobago.
