Riposte [General, Fighter]

3e Summary::After deflecting your opponent's blow, you quickly attack while they are over extended.

Prerequisite: Combat Expertise, Weapon Finesse, Base attack bonus +6

Benefit: When unencumbered, in light armor or less, and using a weapon with Weapon Finesse, you may make an attack of opportunity against an opponent who tried to attack you in melee and missed.

Special: This feat cannot be used if you are denied your Dexterity bonus to AC. You cannot use other feats that allow extra attacks (such as Cleave) with a riposte.

Notes

This is a fencing technique, and fits well in a renaissance-style game.
