Also known as the "long knife", the langmesser was a bauernwehr, or tool of the peasants and farmers. As its name implies, it is more akin to a longsword than knife. While it is certainly usable as such, like the kriegsmesser, it requires a bit of expertise to bring out its true potential, which lies in its length. When used with charging, it boasts a considerable range. The handle also accommodates for this, having a special guard with a grip, much like for an epee.

Verlängern. If you make an attack with this weapon after moving at least 20 feet straight towards the target, this attack has a range of 10 feet instead of 5.
