Galactic Titans

The Galactic Titans are ancient primordial beings, born from the Convergence, a cataclysmic event where the chaotic energies of the Elemental Planes collided with the structured order of the Astral Sea. This fusion of opposing forces was orchestrated by the primordial deities Eryndor, the Cosmic Weaver, and Nytheris, the Infinite Abyss, who sought to create entities capable of maintaining the balance between creation and destruction.

These immense entities are not traditional gods but embody the primal forces that shape the multiverse. They exist as creators, destroyers, and preservers, each representing a fundamental aspect of existence, such as water, fire, light, or shadow. The Titans' influence is distant and impartial, yet their immense power resonates throughout the planes, shaping the very fabric of reality.

The Titans are rarely worshipped directly, as their nature is distant and impartial. However, scholars, planar beings, and elemental creatures often revere them as silent architects of reality. Artifacts created by the Titans, such as the Trident of the Tidal Shaper or the Voidwell Relic, are remnants of their immense power and are sought after by adventurers and cults alike.

Creation of the Titans

The Titans came into existence during the Convergence, a cosmic event at the dawn of creation when the Elemental Planes collided with the Astral Sea. From this cataclysm, entities of unimaginable power emerged, each embodying a specific cosmic force:

Pelagor, the Tidal Shaper arose from the union of water and astral light, creating the first seas and tidal rhythms.
Aetherion, the Starforger was forged in the first burst of stellar energy, scattering stars across the cosmos.
Terrakron, the Worldsmith formed from molten rock and astral essence, shaping the foundations of worlds.
Zephyros, the Breath of Creation emerged from the first cosmic winds, spreading storms and life across barren realms.
Umbryss, the Keeper of Shadows coalesced from collapsing stars, embodying entropy and balance through destruction.
Pyrrhos, the Flame Eternal ignited from the first flames of creation, bringing warmth and renewal to the cosmos.
Malvorrak, the Devourer of Light (formerly Luminalis) was corrupted by forbidden energies, becoming a cosmic predator of light and life.
Venalith, the Corruptor seeped from the poisonous mists that formed where decay and chaos merged, embodying toxins and treachery.
Cryonos, the Frozen Sentinel arose from the freezing void where water and starlight converged, representing preservation and icy stillness.
Kaelthor, the Thunder Sovereign was born in the convergence of sky and storm, wielding the chaotic power of thunder and lightning.
Aelora, the Moonlit Guide manifested from the gentle balance of light and darkness, guiding the cosmos with her serene illumination.

Together, these beings shaped the universe, creating stars, planets, and the forces of nature.

The Great Celestial War

During the The Great Celestial War, the Titans faced a threat that endangered the entire multiverse: the Abyssal Womb, a force of pure chaos that sought to unmake the cosmos. This event forever altered the Titans' roles and relationships.

The Call to Arms: The Titans united to defend creation, wielding their immense power to repel the Abyssal Womb’s destructive forces.
The Corruption of Luminalis: Luminalis, the Titan of Celestial Harmony, was consumed by the collapsing star known as the Eternal Hunger, transforming into Malvorrak, a cosmic predator. This betrayal turned the tide of the war, forcing the Titans to fight one of their own.
The Astral Tideborn: To aid them, the Titans created the Astral Tideborn, beings of water and starlight infused with fragments of their essence, to act as their mortal agents across the planes.
Sacrifice and Victory: The Titans ultimately prevailed by sacrificing much of their power to seal the Abyssal Womb within the Primal Void, a dimension outside time and space. However, this act left them greatly weakened.

Disappearance and Legacy

After the Celestial War, the Titans withdrew from mortal affairs. Some retreated to their elemental planes, while others vanished into the fabric of reality. Scholars debate their fate, with some claiming the Titans slumber in hidden realms, awaiting a time of great need.

Despite their absence, their legacy endures:

Artifacts: Items like the Starforger’s Prism and the Flameheart Forge hold remnants of Titan power.
The Astral Tideborn: These beings still serve as protectors of balance, carrying out the Titans’ will.
Cult Worship: Secretive cults and planar scholars continue to venerate the Titans, often invoking their power in rituals.
