Siphoning power from your own lifeforce, you conjure a devastating lance of blood-red energy and fire it at an enemy within range. You lose 1d6 hit points, and make a ranged spell attack against the target. On a hit, the target takes 4d6 necrotic damage, plus necrotic damage equal to triple the damage you took.[1]
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 3rd level or higher, the damage taken and damage dealt each increase by 1d6 for each slot level above 2nd.
