    Amazon Prime Video is an American video streaming service operated by Amazon. Like many other streaming services, Amazon Prime Video focuses on streaming content over the internet to a variety of devices. Like other major streaming platforms, it is involved in distributing and developing original exclusive content for its own platform, with Amazon MGM Studios often playing a role in such content.

    The service is somewhat unusual compared to competitors such as Netflix and Hulu in that it is part of the big bundle of services included with an Amazon Prime subscription, meaning that a number of people not specifically seeking it out have incidental access to the service. Additional subscription options enable things such as ad free viewing.
