Yombe people (Zambia)
The Yombe people are a Tumbuka group of Bantu people that are part of Nkhamanga Kingdom from Zambia who speak a Chitumbuka language as their primary language. They are grouped as part of the Tumbuka family. The Yombe group is part of the Bantu people within the Sub-Saharan African affinity branch.
The group practices ethnoreligion connected to its early ethnic identity. In 1981, there were over 15,000 Yombes in Zambia.
