Yame (八女市, Yame-shi) is a city located in Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan. As of 31 December 2023, the city had an estimated population of 37,782 in 16050 households, and a population density of 240 persons per km2. The total area of the city is 482.44 km2 (186.27 sq mi). Yamecha is produced in Yame and surrounding areas, and is a tea known throughout Japan.
