Wuchuan (Mongolian: ᠦᠴᠤᠸᠠᠨ ᠰᠢᠶᠠᠨ; Chinese: 武川县), is a county of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, North China, it is under the administration of the prefecture-level city of Hohhot, the capital of Inner Mongolia. Wuchuan has an area of 4,885 km2 (1,886 sq mi) with a population of 95,869. It is connected to central Hohhot by the Huwu Highway; roughly a half-hour's drive. Zhaohe Grasslands, a popular tourist site, is nearby. The county borders the Hohhot districts of Huimin and Xincheng and the rural Tumed Left Banner to its south, Dorbod Banner of Ulanqab and Darhan Muminggan United Banner of Baotou to its north, Guyang County of Baotou to its west, and Zhuozi County of Ulanqab to its east.
