Admiral William Lloyd (28 June 1725 – 19 July 1796) was a Royal Navy officer from Carmarthenshire, Wales, rising to become an Admiral of the White. He sailed Governor Edward Cornwallis aboard HMS Sphinx to establish Halifax, Nova Scotia (1749).
