Vereshchaginsky District (Russian: Вереща́гинский райо́н) is an administrative district (raion) of Perm Krai, Russia; one of the thirty-three districts in the krai. Municipally, it is incorporated as Vereshchaginsky Municipal District. It is located in the west of the krai,with an area of 1,621 square kilometers (626 sq mi). Its administrative center is the town of Vereshchagino. Population: 41,379 (2010 Census); 43,958 (2002 Census); 46,714 (1989 Soviet census). The population of Vereshchagino accounts for 53.5% of the district's total population.
