Varnensky District (Russian: Варненский район; Kazakh: Варна ауданы, Varna aýdany) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the twenty-seven in Chelyabinsk Oblast, Russia. It is located in the southeast of the oblast. The area of the district is 3,853 square kilometers (1,488 sq mi). Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Varna. Population: 27,357 (2010 Census); 30,802 (2002 Census); 30,773 (1989 Soviet census). The population of Varna accounts for 36.1% of the district's total population.
