Tuzhinsky District (Russian: Тужи́нский райо́н) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the thirty-nine in Kirov Oblast, Russia. It is located in the southwest of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,468 square kilometers (567 sq mi). Its administrative center is the urban locality (an urban-type settlement) of Tuzha. Population: 7,688 (2010 Census); 10,396 (2002 Census); 12,334 (1989 Soviet census). The population of Tuzha accounts for 59.4% of the district's total population.
