Shuddh Desi Romance

Shuddh Desi Romance, released internationally as A Pure Desi Romance, is a 2013 Indian Hindi-language romantic comedy-drama film directed by Maneesh Sharma and produced by Aditya Chopra under the Yash Raj Films banner. It stars Sushant Singh Rajput, Parineeti Chopra, and Vaani Kapoor, with Rishi Kapoor in a supporting role. Set in Jaipur, Rajasthan, the film explores contemporary themes of commitment, live-in relationships, and the contrast between arranged and love marriages in small-town India. The film marked Kapoor's acting debut.

The film premiered in the Gala Presentation section of the 2013 Toronto International Film Festival and was released theatrically on 6 September 2013. It received positive reviews from critics, who praised the performances of the lead cast and the film's treatment of unconventional themes. Made on a budget of ₹22 crore (US$2.7 million), it earned approximately ₹76 crore (US$9.1 million) worldwide during its theatrical run and was declared a hit by Box Office India.

At the 59th Filmfare Awards, Shuddh Desi Romance received five nominations, including Best Actress (Chopra) and Best Story (Sahni), and won Best Female Debut (Vaani Kapoor).
