Shatursky District (Russian: Шату́рский райо́н) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the thirty-six in Moscow Oblast, Russia. It is located in the east of the oblast. The area of the district is 2,640.15 square kilometers (1,019.37 sq mi). Its administrative center is the town of Shatura. Population: 72,087 (2010 Census); 70,967 (2002 Census); 73,521 (1989 Soviet census). The population of Shatura accounts for 45.6% of the district's total population.
