Shatsky District (Russian: Ша́цкий райо́н) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the twenty-five in Ryazan Oblast, Russia. It is located in the southeast of the oblast. The area of the district is 2,400 square kilometers (930 sq mi). Its administrative center is the town of Shatsk. Population: 24,414 (2010 Census); 30,944 (2002 Census); 38,109 (1989 Soviet census). The population of Shatsk accounts for 26.9% of the district's total population.
