Sarayevsky District (Russian: Сара́евский райо́н) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the twenty-five in Ryazan Oblast, Russia. It is located in the south of the oblast. The area of the district is 2,117 square kilometers (817 sq mi). Its administrative center is the urban locality (a work settlement) of Sarai. Population: 17,810 (2010 Census); 22,725 (2002 Census); 28,819 (1989 Soviet census). The population of Sarai accounts for 32.6% of the district's total population.
