Sakurai (桜井市, Sakurai-shi, literally, Well of Cherry Blossom Flower) is a city located in Nara Prefecture, Japan. As of 31 August 2024, the city had an estimated population of 54,384 in 25678 households, and a population density of 550 persons per km2. The total area of the city is 98.91 km2 (38.19 sq mi).
