Sør-Aukra is a former municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The 85-square-kilometre (33 sq mi) municipality existed from 1924 until its dissolution in 1965. The area is now part of Molde Municipality in the traditional district of Romsdal. The municipality consisted of the entire island of Otrøya, the eastern part of Midøya island, and some small surrounding islands at the entrance to the large Romsdal Fjord. The administrative centre was the village of Midsund.
Prior to its dissolution in 1965, the 85-square-kilometre (33 sq mi) municipality was the 436th largest by area out of the 525 municipalities in Norway. Sør-Aukra Municipality was the 404th most populous municipality in Norway with a population of about 1,920. The municipality's population density was 22.6 inhabitants per square kilometre (59/sq mi) and its population had decreased by 0.8% over the previous 10-year period.
