Rock Ridge High School is a public secondary school located in Virginia, Minnesota, serving students in grades 7 through 12. It is part of Rock Ridge Public Schools (Independent School District 2909), which was established in 2020 following the consolidation of the Virginia and Eveleth-Gilbert school districts.
Construction of the new Rock Ridge High School campus began in 2020, and the facility opened to students in the fall of 2023, replacing both legacy high schools. The school is designed as a wall-to-wall career academy model, offering flexible learning environments, collaborative spaces, and integrated career and technical education labs. It is the only career academy high school of its kind located north of the Twin Cities.
The building features open learning neighborhoods and modern design elements intended to foster student engagement, project-based learning, and connections with local industry partners. Rock Ridge High School is part of a district that serves approximately 2,400 students and is led by Superintendent Dr. Noel Schmidt. The school mascot is the Wolverine, and the district motto is "Fiercely United."
