Peter Härtling (German: [ˈpeːtɐ ˈhɛʁtlɪŋ] ⓘ; 13 November 1933 – 10 July 2017) was a German writer, poet, publisher and journalist. He received the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany for his major contribution to German literature.
