Pervomaysky District (Russian: Первома́йский райо́н) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the twenty-three in Tambov Oblast, Russia. It is located in the northwest of the oblast. The area of the district is 941 square kilometers (363 sq mi). Its administrative center is the urban locality (a work settlement) of Pervomaysky. Population: 29,277 (2010 Census); 31,925 (2002 Census); 35,948 (1989 Soviet census). The population of the administrative center accounts for 43.2% of the district's total population.
