Palus Caprae

The Palus Caprae (or Capreae; meaning "Goat Marsh" or "the Goat's pool") was a site within the Campus Martius in Ancient Rome. In Roman mythology, the Palus Caprae was the place where Romulus underwent ascension into godhood.
