Muhammad Kurd Ali

Muhammad Kurd Ali (Arabic: محمد كرد علي, 1876–1953) was a notable Syrian scholar, historian and literary critic in the Arabic language. He was the founder and director of the Academy of the Arabic Language in Damascus (1918) till his death.
