Michael Matthews is a South African born filmmaker. He directed Oscar Nominated Love and Monsters, a 2021 American monster adventure film, with Shawn Levy and Dan Cohen serving as producers. It stars Dylan O'Brien, Jessica Henwick, Dan Ewing and Michael Rooker. In 2017, he directed Five Fingers for Marseilles, a film that won the best director and best film category at 14th Africa Movie Academy Awards.
