Love of Saul (book)

Love of Saul is a novel by the Israeli writer Eli Amir, published as part of the "Library for the People" by Am Oved in 1998. It is Eli Amir's third novel. The book describes the early days of Sayeret Matkal, in the years 1959–1961, The plot of the book extends from the establishment of the State of Israel to 1992, and describes, among other things, the Six-Day War, the Yom Kippur War, the Eichmann Trial and the sectarian divide in Israel.

Like Amir's other books, the book is written in rich language, seasoned with subtle humor.
