Kuznetsky District (Russian: Кузне́цкий райо́н) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the twenty-seven in Penza Oblast, Russia. It is located in the east of the oblast. The area of the district is 2,071 square kilometers (800 sq mi). Its administrative center is the town of Kuznetsk (which is not administratively a part of the district). Population: 38,056 (2010 Census); 41,712 (2002 Census); 41,597 (1989 Soviet census).
