Kolyshleysky District (Russian: Колышле́йский райо́н) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the twenty-seven in Penza Oblast, Russia. It is in the south of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,685 square kilometers (651 sq mi). Its administrative center is the urban locality (a work settlement) of Kolyshley. Population: 26,187 (2010 Census); 27,751 (2002 Census); 29,125 (1989 Soviet census). The population of Kolyshley accounts for 31.7% of the district's total population.
