Kirkcudbright (/kɜːrˈkuːbri/ kur-KOO-bree; Scottish Gaelic: Cille Chùithbeirt) is a town at the mouth of the River Dee in Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland, southwest of Castle Douglas and Dalbeattie. A former royal burgh, it is the traditional county town of Kirkcudbrightshire.
