Kirk Smeaton is a village and civil parish in North Yorkshire, England. It is located at the southern end of the county, close to South Yorkshire and East Riding of Yorkshire.
Historically, the village was part of the West Riding of Yorkshire until 1974. From 1974 to 2023 it was part of the district of Selby, it is now administered by the unitary North Yorkshire Council.
In the 2001 Census, the population was 344, which had risen to 405 by the 2011 Census and reduced slightly to 390 by the 2021 Census.
