John Potts Slough (/ˈslaʊ/; February 1, 1829 – December 17, 1867) was an American general and politician who led Union forces at the Battle of Glorieta Pass during the American Civil War. After the war, he was appointed chief justice of the New Mexico Territorial Supreme Court, serving until his assassination in 1867.
