Hessisch Lichtenau (German pronunciation: [ˈhɛsɪʃ ˈlɪçtənaʊ] ⓘ) is a small town in the Werra-Meißner-Kreis in eastern Hesse, Germany. In 2006, the town hosted the 46th Hessentag state festival.
