Henry Foster (scientist)

Henry Foster FRS (1797 – 5 February 1831) was a British naval officer and scientist who took part in expeditions to both the Arctic and Antarctic, and made notable scientific contributions to studies of the figure of the earth and the earth's magnetic field.
