Harpalyce (daughter of Harpalycus)

In Greek and Roman mythology, Harpalyce (/hɑːrˈpæləsiː/; Ancient Greek: Ἁρπαλύκη, romanized: Harpalúkē) is a Thracian princess, the daughter of Harpalycus, king of the Amymnei tribe. Harpalyce was trained to be an excellent warrior and made heir to the Amymnian kingdom, but after her father's death she took to the woods and the plundering of oxen from local herdsmen.
