Firhad Hakim (born 1 January 1959) is an Indian politician serving since 2018 as the 38th mayor of Kolkata. He is also the Cabinet Minister of Urban Development and Municipal Affairs and Housing in the Government of West Bengal. He is a MLA of the Trinamool Congress Party from Kolkata Port and a member of National Working Committee of All India Trinamool Congress.
Hakim was elected to the West Bengal Legislative Assembly in 2009. Two years later, he became a cabinet minister in the Mamata Banerjee ministry. In December 2018, he was appointed mayor after Sovan Chatterjee resigned.
