Fanny Tercy née, Françoise-Cécile Messageot; November 22, 1782, Lons-le-Saunier – April 1, 1851, Quintigny), a 19th-century French historical novelist. Along with Stéphanie Félicité, comtesse de Genlis, Gabrielle de Paban, Sophie Doin, and George Sand, Tercy embraced and transformed sentimentalism during the first half of the 19th-century.
