Ippolito Nievo (Italian pronunciation: [ipˈpɔːlito ˈnjɛːvo; ˈnjeː-]; 30 November 1831 – 4 March 1861) was an Italian writer, journalist and patriot. His Confessions of an Italian is widely considered the most important novel about the Italian Risorgimento.
