Beijing Municipal Revolutionary Committee

The Beijing Municipal Revolutionary Committee was established on April 20, 1967, replacing the then Beijing Municipal People's Committee, and was the highest administrative unit in Beijing, the capital of the People's Republic of China . With the end of the Cultural Revolution , in December 1979, the Third Session of the Seventh Beijing Municipal People's Congress abolished the Beijing Municipal Revolutionary Committee and restored the Beijing Municipal People's Government .
