The serial won several awards at the 2011 Asianet Television Awards, including the Best Director for Sujith Sunder, Best Screenplay for Anil Bass, Best Editor for Joby Pannapara, Best New Face (Female) for Shaalin Zoya, and Best Actress (Character) for Sona Nair. During the 2020 COVID-19 lockdown period, the show was re-telecast on Asianet Plus but was soon discontinued and replaced by the Malayalam-dubbed version of Mahabharat.
