Ali Mohammad Sagar (born 1958) is an Indian politician from Jammu and Kashmir and a senior leader of the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference. He is one of the longest-serving members of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, having been elected seven times — an unbeaten record in the state’s political history. Sagar most recently won the 2024 Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly election from the Khanyar Assembly constituency in Srinagar district. Over the decades, he has maintained a strong political presence in the region. He served as the Minister of Rural Development in the Omar Abdullah-led cabinet and was appointed as the General Secretary of the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference in 2014, a role that underscores his influential position within the party.
