New New York Defenses General
The New New York Defenses General is ostensibly in charge defending New New York from attack. He informs Leela that her idea of "launching a missile" to deflect the giant ball of garbage wouldn't work because it is "too damn gooey." He does, however agree that launching a second ball of garbage would successfully deflect the one that's heading towards Earth.
