Nerd Search '88 Science Competition
The Nerd Search '88 Science Competition was a competition launched by NASA and presented by Buzz Aldrin in 1988. The competition sought to find the best science project by a school child to be launched into space on their Nerd Search '88 satellite. The competition was won by Josh Gedgie for his experiment for what would happen to viruses if kept in space.
