The Earth Supreme Court, the highest court on Earth, uses a high-speed telepathy device to confer with each other during voting on cases. The device consists of a headpiece that is worn by the Chief Justice and is connected via cable to the back of the supports for the head jars of all the other Justices. During the communication, energy is seen passing down the cables and the Justices' heads spin in their jars.
