Contrary to what was suggested by Gore's statement, Starman did not appear in broadcast season 8. However, a character with the same title and a similar name did. Al Gore's head makes a cameo appearance as Lance Starman in the Mos Def Cantina scene of broadcast season 9 episode "Zapp Dingbat".
