On Earth, humans are in a losing war against robots. As one soldier admits, they created robots to ease their lives, but they turned on them before they realised the threat (6ACV07).

With the previous year that was visited 5000005 being one where humankind had split into two species, it seems that at some point in between, the two species had merged into one again (five million years is a long time) or one of them had eventually evolved into the humans we see in this time.
