X-Buster (5e Equipment)

Weapon (Unique), legendary (requires attunement)

Created by scientist Dr. Thomas Light, the X-Buster is an arm cannon that shoots powerful bullets of compressed solar energy and has an energy amplifier that allows it to be charged to release a more powerful shot. As a bonus action, you can activate or deactivate its inactive state, in which it rests as a simple blue gauntlet. Because it is mounted directly on your arm, you are proficient with this weapon.

This weapon has three attacks:

• Standard Shot(60 ft): you fire a small blast of light that deals 1d6 force damage. This can be done as a bonus action as if engaging in Two-Weapon Fighting.
• Charge Shot (80 ft): as a bonus action, you charge your X-Buster. Your next attack within 1 minute deals 2d8 force damage.
• Charge Shot MKII (120 ft): as an action while a Charge Shot is charged, you charge your X-Buster further. Your next attack within 1 minute has +2 to hit and deals 3d8 force damage.

Spiral Crush Buster (200 ft): as an action while a Charge Shot MKII is charged, you charge your X-Buster to the max. Your next attack within 1 minute deals 3d12 force damage and 5d10 radiant damage. This can be used once, regaining use at noon.
